An open letter to those who need to reconnect with God’s Word
It has come to my attention you are not as diligent in reading, internalizing and applying the Word of God as you were in the past. I cannot overstate how critical it is for you to re-establish Bible reading and study as a high priority in your daily schedule. Please prayerfully consider these reasons why it is absolutely necessary for you to become a person of the Word.
Reason 1. The enemy of your soul does not want you to be a person of the Word.
Reason 2. The Bible is a priceless treasure.
Reason 3. The Bible is your resource for absolute truth.
Reason 4. The Bible is your manual for living. Its Author is your Creator.
Reason 5. As a child of God, you should keep up on all the blessings your Heavenly Father desires for all His children.
Reason 6. The Word of God is powerful.
Reason 7. The Scriptures should be your “food for thought.”
Reason 8. Those who neglect the written Word of God will soon have serious questions about the living Word: Jesus Christ.
Reason 9. Every person has a desire to know about the future.
Reason 10. How would you like to hear God speak to you?
Reading God’s Word should never be viewed as a laborious task or even a duty. It is a wonderful privilege to open the Book every day and receive divine insights into the nature of God, the purpose of man, and the truth about time and eternity.
The Word of God is vital if you are going to live a victorious life. I pray this letter stirs a fresh desire in your heart to know divine truth. Remember: “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word [emphasis mine] that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4, KJV).
What is the meaning of Baptism?
It's an illustration of Christ's burial and resurrection
"Christ died for our sins...He was buried... and He rose again" (1 Cor. 15:3-4)
"For when you were baptized, you were buried with Christ, and in baptism you were also raised with Christ" (Col. 2:12
It's an illustration of my new life in Christ.
"When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a new person inside. The old life has passed away and a new life has begun!
"we are buried with him (Christ) by baptism into death: that like Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we should walk in the newness of life." (Rom. 6:4)
Why should I be Baptized by Immersion?
This is the way Jesus was baptized
"As soon as Jesus was baptized, He went up out of the water." (Mt. 3:16)
Every baptism in the Bible was by immersion
"... then both Philip and the man went down into the water and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water..." (Acts 8:38-39)
The word Baptize means: "to dip under water."
It best symbolized a burial and a resurrection
Who should be Baptized?
Every person who has believed in Christ.
"Those who believe and accept His message were baptized..." (Acts 2:41)
Simon himself believed and was baptized..." (Acts 8:13)
When should I be Baptized?
After you accept Jesus as your personal Savior.
"Those who believe...were baptized... that day...!" (Acts 2:41)
"Then Philip began with the scripture and told him the Good news about Jesus. As they traveled along the road, they came up to some water, and the man said. "Look, here is water! Why shouldn't I be baptized right now?" Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." The man answered, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." So they went down into the water and Philip baptized him." (Acts 8:35-38
Steps to Salvation
Follow these steps provided read the coordinating Bible verses.
Every person must be born again to know God and have everlasting life. (John 3:3, John 3:16)
The reason we must be born again is found in (Rom. 3:23)
Eternal life is a gift from God. You can not earn it on your own. (Rom. 6:23)
Being saved or born again is receiving Jesus as your Lord (master) and committing yourself to follow His Word (The Bible)(Rom. 10:9-10)
Are you ready to make this life-changing commitment?
Pray according to (Rom. 10"9-10
"God, I come to you in the Name of Jesus. I ask You to come into my life. I confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord and I believe in my heart that You have raised from the dead. I turn my back on sin and I commit to follow You for the rest of my life. I thank You, Father, for saving me!"
You are now born again, forgiven and on your way to heaven. You are a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17). Yet this is only the beginning. You need to renew your mind to live a powerful life as a believer. (Rom. 12:2)
Reading the Bible is important to your growth. (Rom. 10:17)
Getting together with believers regular;y is vital. (Heb. 10:25)
If you ever have doubts about your salvation, reject them, and remember that regardless of your emotions or how you feel, you are saved because you obeyed and believed, (Rom. 10:9-10)
